Job Summary
Coordinate daily inventory, stockroom, and material management activities to support customer operations while monitoring levels and preventing stockouts. Oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and reagents, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, GMP/GLP, and customer-specific requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders regarding inventory and material management, coordinating communication between suppliers and departments to resolve operational issues. Complete routine laboratory procedures including preparation of solvents, buffers, and media, and report timely test results using electronic laboratory notebooks. Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with team member onboarding and cross-training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, material handling, warehouse operations, or supply chain support
- At least 1 year of experience in a lead, coordinator, team-support, or operational coordination role
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate daily operational activities
- Previous experience in a GMP, GLP, or ISO-regulated environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or regulated environments preferred
- Experience coordinating sourcing, procurement, inventory replenishment, and material management activities preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting functions preferred
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other ERP/inventory management systems
- Experience with barcode scanning systems, handheld devices
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt
- Experience with hazardous materials shipping and receiving requirements
