Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, communicate with client staff, and troubleshoot specimen problems while meeting production goals. Accurately identify and label samples, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities, and scrub requisitions to update missing items. Perform spinning, freezing, and splitting services as needed based on client requirements. Enter patient data accurately and timely. Work onsite in Itasca, IL, with travel throughout the Chicago area required. Schedule includes Monday through Friday evenings and rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or data entry or manufacturing
- Must be willing to travel throughout Chicago, suburbs and Northwest Indiana area
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00pm – 1:30am, and rotating Saturdays when needed
- Hours may vary
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years' old
