Lab Supervisor

Lead and support daily laboratory operations in the Food Microbiology department by ensuring resources are effectively scheduled to deliver on customer commitments while maintaining compliance with quality systems, protocols, and procedures. Analyze and approve client results within established turnaround times, troubleshoot sample analysis issues, and authorize test results. Develop succession plans, recruit staff, and ensure all personnel are trained and documented. Monitor equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory storage. Create, review, and approve SOPs; guide resolution of administrative, technical, or interpersonal problems. Support the Laboratory Manager in analyzing metrics, investigating quality issues, and planning budgeting processes. Participate in third-party and internal audits as required. This role supports Matrix Sciences' mission to provide comprehensive food safety and AgSciences services that help clients identify potential contamination before it impacts products.
