Lab Supervisor

Oversee day-to-day operations of the department/lab in Mobile, AL. Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel; ensure laboratory tests are performed accurately and results reported promptly. Manage daily workflow, staffing, and assay coverage; address production errors and escalate when needed. Drive continuous process and service-level improvements; maintain Quality Assurance records and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Evaluate new processes, recommend improvements, and coach direct reports. Perform bench work as needed to maintain proficiency in technical operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CLIA, CAP). Responsible for payroll and personnel file processing, plus related administrative duties. Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and within a team, and adaptability to changing environments. Requires ASCP or AMT certification and relevant laboratory experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology and supervisory experience.
