Lab Supervisor

Oversee daily operations of the clinical/core laboratory, managing test performance, specimen handling, and workflow coordination while ensuring compliance with CLIA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards. Monitor quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs; oversee staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance management. Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory technologists, technicians, and assistants; maintain competency and training documentation. Assist with developing and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with user experience to address service issues. Investigate testing anomalies, equipment malfunctions, and non-conformances; initiate and document corrective actions. Participate in instrument validation, method verification, and implementation of new assays or equipment. Ensure inventory of reagents and supplies is maintained and monitor equipment service schedules. Prepare operational reports, track performance metrics, and contribute to departmental planning and improvement initiatives. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
