Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Dermatopathology lab and two Mohs labs, maintaining relationships with clinical leadership to guide staffing allocation. Recruit and develop staff to ensure adequate coverage while performing benchwork as needed. Promote the UW health way in all employee interactions. Monday through Friday 7am-430pm with flexing based on department needs. Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or equivalent experience required, alongside three years of relevant lab work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical physical, biological or clinical laboratory science
- Associate's Degree and two years of relevant experience
- 3 years of relevant laboratory experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity
- American Society for Clinical Pathology registered as Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Specialist in Cytotechnology, Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, Technologist in Blood Bank, Specialist in Blood Bank, Phlebotomist, Diplomate in Laboratory Management, or certification appropriate for Clinical Lab department(s) managed
