Job Summary
Lab Services Lead Coordinator oversees CTPL operations and workflows, leads or independently runs a satellite CTPL lab, ensures compliance with FDA/IRB/internal SOPs, trains staff, manages sample processing and inventory, collaborates with clinical research and hospital staff, and provides technical guidance on complex projects within a multidisciplinary lab.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health related Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Good working knowledge of laboratory principles, equipment and safety standards
- experience processing tissue, blood, urine, saliva, and bone marrow samples
- handling bio-hazardous materials and aseptic techniques
- data collection and data entry experience
- knowledge of tissue procurement techniques and anatomic pathology desired
- knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- demonstrates initiative and ability to provide useful feedback in a professional manner
- knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel required
