Job Summary
Collect and process blood and body fluid specimens, verifying identification and preparing containers with reagents for ordered testing. Manage specimen receipt, shipping, and storage while performing waived point-of-care laboratory testing in clinic and hospital settings. Troubleshoot issues and prioritize workload by interacting with patients, families, physicians, and allied health staff. Utilize computer information systems daily and participate in quality control programs. Assist with training new employees and students to ensure all services follow established guidelines.
