Job Summary
Pour off, label, and process ARUP specimens as they become available, preparing them for transport in accordance with DOT and IATA guidelines. Detect and resolve issues related to test or specimen submissions before shipping, while receiving and initiating calls between the client site and ARUP. Provide information to clients regarding specimen requirements, fees, turnaround times, and referral laboratory vendors. Assist in distributing technical information, hotlines, test bulletins, and company updates, and keep clients current on value-added services. Research pending test lists, maintain required records and documentation, and order supplies to keep inventories on hand. Maintain contact with local and regional couriers to ensure shipment schedules are met. Work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from 2pm to 10:30pm at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Knowledge of DOT and IATA guidelines
- Ability to communicate with clients
- Ability to resolve issues related to specimen submissions
- Ability to read and understand SOPs
- Ability to maintain contact with couriers
- Ability to maintain required records and documentation
- Ability to comply with CDC and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of CAP requirements
- Knowledge of NY requirements
