Job Summary
Lab/Quality Technician responsible for measuring the quality and durability of manufactured wood pellets and providing feedback to Operations when quality exceedances are recorded; conducts analyses of samples, follows SOPs, maintains quality-control tools and lab test procedures, and sustains an evergreen 5S program in the lab. Applies knowledge of regulatory requirements to assess, document, and make recommendations for quality assurance; works in a team or lone-working environment with minimal supervision and a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience
- Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, with minimal supervision
- Perform quality control inspections and complete appropriate paperwork
- Professional attitude and ability to work well with others
- Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures
- Knowledgeable of Lean/5S principles
