Job Summary
Lab/Quality Technician responsible for measuring the quality and durability of manufactured wood pellets and providing feedback to Operations when quality exceedances are recorded. Applies knowledge of regulatory requirements to assess, document, and make recommendations for quality assurance. Conduct analyses of samples, follow SOPs, maintain quality control tools and lab procedures, manage an evergreen 5S program in the lab, and promote a safe working environment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of industrial experience; emphasizes Lean/5S principles, teamwork, and problem-solving to ensure timely and accurate test results.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience
- Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, with minimal supervision
- Perform quality control inspections and complete appropriate paperwork
- Knowledgeable of Lean/5S principles
