Job Summary
Lab/Quality Technician responsible for measuring the quality and durability of manufactured wood pellets, identifying out-of-spec samples, and providing feedback to Operations. Follows standard operating procedures to conduct analyses, maintain quality control tools, audit lab test procedures, and ensure timely, accurate results. Maintains an evergreen 5S program in the lab and adopts a Continuous Improvement mindset to address issues and operational challenges. Requires collaboration within a team, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adherence to safety procedures; knowledge of regulatory requirements and statistical/analytical methods used in quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience
- Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment
- Perform quality control inspections and complete appropriate paperwork
- Must have a professional attitude and work well with others
- Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures
- Knowledgeable of Lean/5S principles
