Job Summary
Oversees development, implementation, and maintenance of training, competency, and quality control programs for waived testing across Owensboro Health clinical sites. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards through policy development, site visits, and collaboration with clinic leadership, while serving as a technical resource and supporting accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance. Directs training and competency programs for waived testing, develops materials tailored to site needs, ensures orientation and annual competencies are completed, drafts policies and procedures, maintains a tracking spreadsheet for waiver testing locations, travels to clinic sites as needed, and supports accreditation activities. Partners with clinic leadership to address deficiencies identified during regulatory events and helps implement a quality control program for waived tests. Serves as a technical resource for waived testing questions and participates in mock surveys and tracer events. Requires critical thinking, capable of working with minimal supervision, and ability to operate in a high-stress environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
- Education: Associate's degree or higher in Science or related field required at hire; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: MT - ASCP or AMT OR MLS - ASCP OR CLS - ASCP or AMT OR MLT - ASCP or AMT required upon hire
- Position requires ability to travel to clinic/outreach clinical sites as needed
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision and in a stressful environment
