Job Summary
Draw quality blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for lab testing, and complete clerical duties to maintain department efficiency. Perform order entry, result look-up, and report generation while answering internal and external calls. Greet patients and the community respectfully, ensuring accurate patient identification and proper specimen processing including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing. Troubleshoot problems promptly and manage inventory and supply stock as needed. Work nights with a 40-hour weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Phlebotomist Certification
- One-year phlebotomy experience
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
- Position requires travel to off-site locations
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required
- One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
- Customer service in a retail or service environment
