Job Summary
Support groundbreaking research initiatives by performing primary cell culture and cryopreservation while ensuring smooth laboratory environment operations. Manage routine tasks including stocking consumables, preparing media and reagents, coordinating biohazardous waste handling, and maintaining inventory organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline lab processes, prioritize projects, and implement continuous improvements to cell culture workflows and protocols. Troubleshoot experimental and operational issues, document learnings, and share best practices to enhance efficiency and safety across the biology and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related Life Sciences field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an industry setting, particularly with primary cell culture
- Demonstrated experience in cell and molecular biology techniques (e.g., cell-based assays, flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, microscopy and aseptic technique)
- Familiarity with basic EH&S and BSL2 safety
- Detail-oriented with data-driven problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with lab automation or high-throughput systems (e.g., liquid handlers, robotic platforms) or supporting automated workflows (setup, monitoring, basic troubleshooting) is a plus
