Lab Manager, STAT & Physician's Office Labs

Direct the daily operational activities of the STAT & POL laboratories in Central and North Alabama, including technical and non-technical operations. Oversee staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate overtime usage; supervise, train, and mentor supervisors and departmental staff. Ensure the diagnostics laboratory meets service metrics and client needs, resolve inquiries with leadership, and ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, State, and ISO regulatory requirements. Develop and implement laboratory procedures, install equipment and methods, and manage hiring, performance management, training, and development. Maintain strong communication with leadership, clients, sales, and departmental staff; conduct departmental meetings and drive corrective actions for deviations. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and contribute to high-volume laboratory operations with a focus on quality, safety, and regulatory adherence. Requires 25-35% travel within Alabama; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with flexibility as needed.
