Job Summary
Direct the daily operational activities of the molecular diagnostics laboratory, including overseeing technical and non-technical operations, staffing, scheduling, and overtime management; supervise and mentor supervisors and departmental staff; ensure market-leading service levels and adherence to regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, State, ISO); drive quality and corrective actions, develop and implement procedures and equipment installation, and maintain strong communication with leadership, clients, and operations to support accurate, timely testing and client satisfaction; require a Bachelor's degree in Biology/chemistry or related field, 5+ years in clinical labs, 1+ year leadership, CLIA high-complexity eligibility, and proficiency in molecular diagnostics with ASCP/AMT preferred; ability to work independently and within a team; flexibility for overtime and various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience
- 1 year previous laboratory leadership experience
- Meets CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple areas of molecular diagnostics
- Eligible for all applicable state and local laboratory licensure
