Job Summary
Lab Manager at Lesaffre Procelys China: Lead planning and execution of experiments in the lab, ensure Good Laboratory Practices, oversee SOPs, IQ/OQ/PQ, data integrity, and statistical analysis. Manage lab equipment maintenance and external service interventions; supervise staff, manage consumables procurement and annual budget; maintain cross-functional collaboration with R&D, production, quality, and customers; lead technical exchanges and applications projects, and build external scientific partnerships. Requires a PhD or master's in microbiology/fermentation-related field, 5+ years of industrial biotech R&D/fermentation experience, strong management and communication skills, and CET-4 English; located in Laibin, Guangxi, CN; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or master's degree in microbiology, Fermentation Science, Biochemical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of laboratory experience in R&D or application development in industrial biotechnology/fermentation
- Proven team management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- English: CET 4
Desired Qualifications
- PhD or master's degree in microbiology, Fermentation Science, Biochemical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of laboratory experience in R&D or application development in industrial biotechnology/fermentation, preferably from the bio-ingredients field (hyaluronic acid, amino acids, enzymes, biopharma, dairy cultures, probiotics, etc.)
- Proven team management skills and time management ability
- Be able to build strong relationships with different internal departments, external scientific community and Customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Be curious, creative, and eager to learn and investigate new things
- English: Intermediate written and verbal comprehension and communication (CET 4)
