Job Summary
Metallurgical Lab Manager responsible for developing testing and lab procedures from scratch; oversee metallurgical testing and analysis; liaison with Corporate Engineering and Quality; lead multiple projects including equipment moves, plant layout, safety and environmental projects, process changes; research options and obtain quotes for scope of work; prepare CARs and support staff; manage end-to-end projects with contractors/vendors; assist Director of Operations with annual budget and approve PR when unavailable; supervise Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and CAD Operator; lead initiatives to promote company programs such as BOW, EMLS, and Dual Bottom Line; requires a Bachelor's in Engineering ( Metallurgical preferred ), strong communication, and leadership for team development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Metallurgical Engineering.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
- Passion and ability to development team members and strive for continuous improvement.
