Lab Manager - Hematopathology

Oversee technical operations of the hematopathology/flow cytometry division, managing quality, quantity, personnel, and costs while establishing standards of practice and ensuring service continuity. Supervise flow cytometry staff, assign responsibilities, monitor staffing, approve overtime, and chair monthly meetings to prioritize work and review technical performance. Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and test validations, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CAP, and NYSDOH accreditation standards. Manage equipment procurement, vendor relations, inventory control, and cost containment using audit reports and Epic Beaker data. Participate in ongoing quality control program development, maintain regulatory logs, and assist in training residents and fellows. Prepare business analysis reports on future growth opportunities and collaborate with senior directors on QA initiatives.
