Lab Coordinator

Job Summary
Draw and process specimens according to trial requirements, assist with specimen shipments to central labs, and transport samples. Monitor expiration dates on lab equipment and supplies, unpack incoming shipments, and maintain general and study-specific lab inventory. Provide mentoring to new hires, complete required CITI GCP and IATA training, and attend SIVs as needed. Support related activities such as recruitment, EDC, and QA/chart review while ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, FED, HIPAA, and company SOPs. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory processing experience
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, and web applications
- the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills
- the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers and external customers
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities
- Must be professional, respectful of others, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and dependability
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
