Job Summary
Lab Assistant responsible for ensuring smooth laboratory workflow through inventory and waste stream management, purchases, and process improvements; supports wet-lab activities, media preparation, equipment cleaning and sterilization, and coordination with vendors to maintain inventory and lab operations. The role involves helping maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient lab environment, assisting with EHS, facilities, shipping/receiving, and record-keeping, and opportunities to cross-train within the lab operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the biotech industry or lab environment
- Previous experience managing wet lab support activities such as media preparation, inventory and waste management preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Google Suite, Zoom, Visio, and Slack preferred
