Job Summary
Prepare classroom experiments using solutions/media and supplies according to course syllabi and prep sheets; maintain stock and inventory of equipment, supplies, and chemical/bio-hazard waste; perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lab equipment; enforce safety standards and report hazards; assist in disposal of used materials per EPA guidelines; organize lab spaces, assist with data entry and record-keeping, and support instructors and students; help coordinate troubleshooting between students, instructors, and IT/web services; train new personnel as needed; participate in department meetings and professional development; schedule may include morning, afternoon, or evening shifts; this role is Part-time and located at Collin College, Frisco Campus; compensation is $18.00 hourly; background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited institution
- Two (2) years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- This position is Security Sensitive and requires a criminal background check
- Evening/weekend schedules may be required
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records
- Ability to work with instructors and students
- Ability to follow safety procedures and EPA regulations
