Job Summary
Draw quality blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for lab testing, and complete clerical duties to maintain department efficiency. Perform order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answer internal/external calls. Greet patients and the community respectfully while ensuring accurate patient identification and proper specimen processing. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as requested by test orders. Check inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly. This PRN position requires travel to off-site locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
- Position requires travel to off-site locations
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomist Certification
- One-year phlebotomy experience
- Customer service in a retail or service environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
