Job Summary
Draw quality blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for lab testing, and complete clerical duties to maintain department efficiency. Perform order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answer internal/external calls. Greet patients and community members respectfully while ensuring accurate patient identification and proper specimen processing. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as requested by test orders. Check inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly. One-year phlebotomy experience preferred; Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required. Minimum wage $17.25, maximum $25.87. Evening shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
- Position requires travel to off-site locations
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required
- One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
