Lab Assistant - Per Diem*

Job Summary
Per Diem Lab Assistant will draw blood, collect specimens, and perform EKGs, process specimens in LIS, organize and deliver lab reports and requisitions, restock and clean lab areas, answer phones/front desk, and support laboratory workflow while complying with Nevada regulations. Responsibilities include entering lab orders into LIS, maintaining equipment and a clean work area, handling specimens with proper identification, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication within the lab team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Lab Assistant, State of Nevada
- American Heart Association BLS required (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Experience with medical terminology and data entry preferred
- Previous hospital or customer service experience preferred
