Job Summary
Pull all required samples within established time periods to identify product issues running on the line. Run and interpret results for vacuum checks, temperature, appearance, weights, code date verifications, packaging, seal checks, pH, T.A., coffee testing, shelf life, flavor, odor, peroxide, Oxonia, spin tests, and microbiological calibrations. Verify product specifications including codes, packaging, and absence of leakers, reporting deviations to operators, coordinators, and senior techs. Perform daily cleanup of incubators and coolers, set up racks before lines start, and maintain a clean, organized lab by removing trash and sanitizing equipment. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and Good Manufacturing Practices protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pull Serac lines in 20-minute intervals
- Must be able to pull Paper lines in 30-minute intervals
- Must maintain lab in a clean and organized fashion
- Must be able to lift 25 - 40 lbs.
- Must be able to carry 50 - 60 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull 40 – 150 lbs with a cart
- Must be able to stand for long periods (minimum of 8+ hours)
- Must be able to walk for long periods
- Must be able to bend frequently
- Must comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices, including GMP dress code standards
- Must adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, procedures and training
- Must report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Must conduct Mock Recalls
- Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Must exhibit ability to learn and apply new skills
- Must work effectively with team members to accomplish department and plant goals
