Job Summary
The Assistant I, Manufacturing will perform basic laboratory duties involved with maintaining the cleanliness of the company’s chemical laboratories, equipment and maintaining stock levels of inventory. They will assist production chemists with routine production activities i.e., non-GMP and GMP manufacturing of oligonucleotides. Responsibilities include maintaining glassware and work areas, maintaining stocks of laboratory supplies, following safety procedures for chemical handling, following batch records and SOPs, documenting operations in batch records/notebooks, complying with GMP protocols, and assisting with and supporting operation of large-scale oligonucleotide manufacturing equipment such as oligonucleotide synthesizers, purification skids, tangential flow filtration systems, lyophilizers, ChemGlass reactors, pH/conductivity meters, and peristaltic pumps. The role requires a high school diploma, good verbal/written communication, teamwork, and attention to detail; preferred qualifications include prior laboratory experience and some college coursework.
