Job Summary
Laboratory Assistant role supporting medical technologists and lab staff with setup and execution of procedures, specimen collection and labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens according to department standards. Responsibilities include preparing labs, performing testing, verifying orders in the LIS, managing the rejection log and inventory of supplies, maintaining instrument readiness, and assisting with specimen collection techniques while ensuring confidentiality and professional communication within a fast-paced hospital lab environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or 1 year of directly related experience required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
