Job Summary
Lab Assistant Intern conducts laboratory analyses and experiments to support R&D efforts. Takes ownership of small development sub-projects, designs and conducts experiments (instrument operation, sample preparation, performance characterization) under minimal supervision, processes data and presents results at group meetings, creates new testing processes and improves current ones, and adheres to safety and housekeeping standards while learning lab procedures and collaborating with supervisor, team members, and cross-functional groups. Preference is for candidates with a high school diploma/GED and laboratory experience who are currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field, with equivalent education/experience also considered.
