Job Summary
Receive and deliver specimens to appropriate workflows while exercising independent judgment on assigned laboratory tasks. Assist licensed staff in preparing blood tubes and tissue for testing, then accurately enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS). Maintain organization of samples through physical and electronic storage, manage inventory supplies, and prepare samples for shipment. Recognize and escalate issues to the lead/supervisor while participating in Continuous Improvement Projects. Adhere to Departmental Expectations and complete all training deadlines, including Natera-specific requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to use a computer keyboard
- Ability to communicate over the telephone
- Ability to read printed material
- Must pass post offer criminal background check
- Must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy
- Must complete training relating to General Policies and Procedure Compliance
- Must complete training relating to security training
Desired Qualifications
- Science - related degree
- Less than 1 year industry related experience
- Communicating in a team setting
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Google Suites
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
