Job Summary
Verify patient and specimen information 100% of the time, examine specimens for adequacy, and label samples with positive identification. Process specimens quickly by delivering, centrifuging, and aliquoting to meet turn-around-time goals while assisting with phlebotomy, send-out processing, and point-of-care inquiries. Maintain a clean working environment by sanitizing benchtops and equipment. This role supports Medical Laboratory Technicians and Scientists under supervision at Washington Regional Medical System's Fayetteville facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Laboratory Assistant Certification
- Phlebotomy Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Laboratory Assistant Certification, preferred
- 1-year medical laboratory assistant experience, preferred
