Job Summary
Verify patient and specimen information 100% of the time and examine specimens for adequacy. Properly label specimens, prepare aliquots, and receive and process specimens quickly to meet turn-around-time goals. Assist with phlebotomy, send-out specimen processing, and point-of-care team support as needed. Maintain a clean working environment by sanitizing benchtops and equipment. This role supports Medical Laboratory Technicians and Scientists under supervision at Washington Regional Medical System's Fayetteville facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Laboratory Assistant Certification
- Phlebotomy Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Laboratory Assistant Certification, preferred
- 1-year medical laboratory assistant experience, preferred
