Job Summary
Process sample processing, exempt screening, and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and established standards. Perform venipunctures and obtain or prepare blood specimens per Piedmont policies. Assist technical staff with non-clinical tasks. No experience required; one year as a phlebotomist or phlebotomy certification preferred. Located at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
- Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
- Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
