Responsible for assisting with laboratory duties including changing, loading, rotating, and maintaining staining instrumentation and processors; ensuring slide accuracy by comparing slides to requisition forms and case numbers; restocking supplies; disposing of hazardous waste per procedures; and adhering to department protocols. Must support quality tissue processing and slide preparation, work with a Laboratory Supervisor, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills and reliability are essential.
