Job Summary
The role is a full-time Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist responsible for greeting patients, coordinating between patients, clinics, and lab personnel, collecting and processing specimens, labeling and identifying patients, and performing data entry while ensuring compliance with EMR and Lab Information System (Labdaq) requirements. Requires active phlebotomy certification from a recognized body and completion of certified phlebotomy training; travel to other Encompass Medical Group clinics may be required. Hours are 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include specimen collection according to protocols, proper labeling, patient education on collection techniques, and serving as main liaison between lab staff and patients with strong customer service. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Complete a certifiable Phlebotomy course or other approved training
- Maintenance of an active phlebotomy certification required from a nationally recognized organization
- Phlebotomy experience required
