Lab Analyst

Job Summary
Supervise base oils cargo ship operations and perform quality tests on base oils, additives, and products against LQS, GPC, and quality control plans. Maintain records for raw and finished materials, coordinate with suppliers for equipment optimization, and support trial blends to ensure product stability. Investigate off-specification cases and customer complaints with Technical Service to implement preventive and corrective actions. Conduct LLCS sample testing, register products with the Department of Science and Technology, and apply Statistical Process Control monitoring. Collaborate with operation staff to reduce slopping and flushing through appropriate discharge and blending orders. Solve dead stock issues via re-blending new product kinds to avoid downgrades.
Required Qualifications
- University majoring in Chemistry /Chemical engineering or relevant
- At least 1 -year working experience in Lubricants/Chemical or relevant industries
- have functional competences in Laboratory activities
- Proactive in perform duty
- Soft skills required: Analysis
- Soft skills required: Problem-solving
- Soft skills required: Teamwork
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced in lab equipment maintenance, especially in ICP and troubleshooting is preferred
- Computer skills: good
- experience with SAP is preferred
- Language skills: English – intermediate level
