Job Summary
Lab Aide assists the laboratory staff with stocking supplies, rotating waste containers, storing and purging specimens; cleans laboratory equipment and sterilizes glassware; transports specimens between patient care areas and laboratories to the appropriate testing area. The role is a full-time day shift (9:00am–5:00pm) including some weekends and holidays, based at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and requires a High School Diploma or GED and computer literacy with at least six months of laboratory or hospital-based experience. The position is on-site with no supervisory responsibility.
