Job Summary
Design, implement, and govern enterprise storage architectures using NetApp ONTAP, AFF A-Series systems, and Ceph platforms. Architect and maintain data protection, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management strategies while supporting CSI integrations for containerized and cloud-native environments. Lead capacity planning, performance analysis, and storage optimization initiatives, acting as the escalation point for complex incidents and root cause investigations. Develop storage standards, operational procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure platforms remain secure and aligned with overall infrastructure. Collaborate with compute, cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and security teams on end-to-end platform design. Requires German B2 proficiency and Swiss citizenship; based in the Winterthur area.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise storage environments
- Strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP
- Strong expertise in NetApp AFF A-Series systems
- Strong expertise in Ceph storage platforms
- Deep understanding of storage architecture
- Deep understanding of data protection
- Deep understanding of replication
- Deep understanding of high availability
- Deep understanding of disaster recovery concepts
- Experience integrating enterprise storage solutions with virtualized environments
- Experience integrating enterprise storage solutions with cloud environments
- Experience integrating enterprise storage solutions with containerized environments
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex storage and infrastructure issues
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- German language proficiency at minimum B2 level
- Swiss citizenship
- Based in, or regularly available within, the Winterthur region

- NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) for ONTAP
- NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) for SAN

- Red Hat Ceph Storage Administration certification
- Equivalent Ceph training
- Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications
