Job Summary
Provide advanced administration and engineering support for enterprise OpenStack cloud platforms, leading complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis across services and infrastructure components. Manage control-plane health, platform resilience, and operational readiness while supporting multi-region and multi-availability-zone environments. Act as the technical escalation point for critical incidents, guiding L2 teams through advanced day-2 operational scenarios. Validate architecture designs and collaborate with infrastructure, Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and storage teams to ensure end-to-end platform stability. Develop and maintain technical documentation and best practices. This role requires German language proficiency at minimum B2 level and Swiss citizenship. Candidates must be based in the Winterthur area to support customer interactions and governance meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience administering and supporting enterprise OpenStack environments
- Strong expertise in OpenStack architecture, operations, and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure technologies
- Experience with performance analysis, capacity planning, high availability, and platform resilience
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and lead incident response activities
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced OpenStack platform certification
- Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or equivalent cloud-focused certification
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications
- German language proficiency at minimum B2 level
- Swiss citizenship
- Based in, or regularly available within, the Winterthur region
