Job Summary
Administers medications and treatments, documents medication administration and resident care in a safe organized manner. Reads and documents communication logs, informs the nurse when needed, dispenses and documents in the MAR, assists residents with self-administration of medications, and counts narcotics per policy. Maintains personhood by learning Residents’ Life Stories, participates in life-enrichment activities, and complies with training requirements, policies, and laws. Communicates professionally with residents, families, and team members; supports approved care plans (ADLs: eating, drinking, walking, transferring) and use of adaptive equipment. Demonstrates safety and privacy of resident information, follows through on delegated tasks from leadership, and contributes to a collaborative and inclusive work culture. Qualifications include a High school diploma or work equivalency; 18+ age; ability to read/write/speak English; strong multitasking and decision-making abilities. Preferred qualifications include CNA certification and prior Med Passer or senior-care experience.
