Job Summary
Conduct independent hauler sourcing and onboarding to support final mile delivery operations, including evaluating carriers, developing outreach strategies, and managing contract negotiations and compliance checks. Maintain strong vendor relationships by monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery and claims, implementing corrective actions, and conducting regular performance evaluations. Collaborate with operations, finance, and technology teams to align procurement strategies with business goals while securing hauler capacity for new markets. Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide insights that improve sourcing efficiency and cost control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or transportation sourcing, preferably with independent contractors
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and procurement platforms
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in final mile delivery or gig economy logistics
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and carrier compliance standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for broader hauler engagement
