Job Summary
Develop structured lesson plans, choreography, and practice routines for Kucchipudi dance techniques and expressions. Conduct live online classes, workshops, and practice sessions via Zoom while introducing students to the cultural and historical context of the art form. Monitor progress, provide personalized feedback, and address queries to foster an interactive learning environment. Manage class schedules, attendance, and student milestones while tailoring content to varying skill levels. Assist with technical issues and ensure seamless virtual delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Formal training or certification in Kuchipudi dance from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching or performing Kuchipudi
- Prior experience conducting online dance classes or workshops
- Proficiency in Kuchipudi dance techniques, expressions (abhinaya), and choreography
- Strong understanding of the cultural and historical context of Kuchipudi
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students
- Ability to create and customize lesson plans to suit students of various skill levels
- Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms such as Zoom or Google Classroom
- Fluency in English and/or regional languages for effective instruction and communication
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone for conducting online classes
- Proficiency in using virtual learning tools for scheduling, class management, and feedback
