Job Summary
Geospatial Linguist/Toponymist focused on rigorous geographic-name data work within the Intelligence Community. Responsibilities include scanning and georeferencing hardcopy maps, researching and ordering geospatial data sources, conflating geospatial data with the GNDB, interpreting and applying national and international naming policies (US BGN, DoS, NATO), preparing files and maps for GNDB updates, and delivering accurate products via GNPS, imagery, and geospatial tools. Proficiency with ArcGIS or GeoMedia Pro, creating shapefiles and geodatabases, and experience with historic maps and image analysis for feature extraction are required. Applicants must hold active TS/SCI and be willing to obtain a POLY clearance. Desired candidates will have experience processing geographic names per agency policies, ability to work independently, multitask, meet deadlines, and collaborate within a team. Education can be BA with experience or Master’s with experience; advanced degrees considered with related experience. The role is based in St. Louis, MO, with on-site work indicated.

- BA degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience
