Korean Substitute Foreign Language Instructor

Job Summary
Provide virtual Korean language instruction to improve ILR proficiency (Listening, Reading, Speaking) across ILR 0+ to 3, including DLPT/OPI or equivalent, plus instruction on regional culture using blended-learning methods. Develop lesson plans, assess and tailor instruction to student interests and levels, review/grade assignments, and maintain a positive virtual learning environment. Collaborate with Site Lead, POI analyst, and Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps and use approved materials. Must be a US citizen and a native or near-native Korean speaker with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent; must have experience delivering virtual language instruction, creating blended lessons, and access to required tech (Windows PC, webcam, headset with mic, reliable internet). Location-based on Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Liberty, NC with in-person requirements.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Native or near-native Korean language capability with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent (listening, reading, speaking)
- Experience delivering foreign language instruction in a virtual environment
- Understanding of cultural, social, and political context of the Korean language region
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Access to Windows computer, webcam, headset with microphone, phone or smart device, and high-speed internet
- Location: Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Liberty, NC (on-base/in-person requirements)
