Job Summary
Rotate between cooking stations in hot temperature areas, managing roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, and sauté stations with high-volume quantity cooking. Maintain proper food temperatures per ServSafe standards, label and rotate products for safe keeping, and regulate oven, broiler, and grill temperatures. Assemble supplies, follow production schedules and sheets, and use various pots and pans to prepare food while ensuring all duties comply with Seneca Gaming Corporation policies. Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous food and beverage service to guests in a 24-hour schedule environment. Work well-groomed in full uniform, reporting on time with a badge, while maintaining physical stamina in a moderately loud casino floor setting.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of intermediate cooking skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino F&B Operation
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced, casino environment
- Ability to handle objects up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to follow basic safety precautions in a work environment involving some exposure to physical risk
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment
- Attend all necessary meetings
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
