Job Summary
Greet guests with water and bread, replenish items, and manage large tray service while clearing and resetting tables. Remove used dishes, brush crumbs, replace missing silverware, and wrap food as needed. Operate four-wheel carts to deliver bar supplies, move trash, empty boxes, and sort bottles at the loading dock. Clean floors, mats, ashtrays, and glassware for the bartender; change CO2 tanks and tap kegs. Maintain a neat workstation, sweep debris, and ensure the bar is set up for food service. Complete opening and closing side work, review log books for special requests, and adhere to Seneca Gaming Corporation policies and training programs. Work a 24-hour schedule in a fast-paced dining environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- Must have outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful accommodating disposition
- Must remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment
- Must be a Team Player
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the dining room and bars for a lengthy period of time
- Must be able to carry up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to assist with special needs of guests (i.e. helping the elderly from their chair, assisting with coats, pulling out the chair for guests, etc.)
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment
- Attend all necessary meetings
- Must be proficient in large tray service
- Ability to operate the following equipment: Juicer, cutting boards, soda guns, ice machines, glass washing machines, non-alcoholic frozen drink machines, ice tea machines and other necessary equipment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous customer service or fine dining experience preferred
