Job Summary
Ensure operation of electrical and mechanical machinery by completing preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and production machines. Perform installation, repair, modification, and improvement of equipment while fabricating repair parts using welders, lathes, and mills. Troubleshoot manufacturing and packaging equipment, locate problem sources through observation and precision testing, and assist production with setup and tear down. Follow safe and food safety procedures in accordance with plant policies. This nights position with overtime and weekend work is located at the Knoxville plant, which specializes in Dry Sausage production including PILLOW PACK® pepperoni. Starting wage is $32.30 with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- previous relevant experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, or related field, or training at an accredited technical school
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects
- Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Weekend work
