Job Summary

Create, develop, and maintain model documents, forms, precedents, checklists, and substantive content for the U.S. Private Investment Funds practice, ensuring accessibility on firm platforms. Serve as a source of legal and market expertise by collecting data points for statistical analysis, benchmarking, and post-deal assessments. Develop curriculum for internal associate training and client workshops. Collaborate with the Knowledge Management team to build document assembly packages, expert systems, and client-facing applications that improve legal project management and service delivery. Participate in department meetings to share best practices and assist in business development efforts, including thought leadership initiatives and client seminars. This role supports the award-winning KM systems within a top-ranked global law firm's capital markets practice group.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor
  • 5+ years legal experience practicing in the capital markets area within a large law firm
  • representing U.S. public companies
  • advising on SEC reporting and disclosure obligations
  • the registered public equity offering process (IPOs and follow-on offerings)
  • well versed in the underwriting process
  • comfort letters
  • opinions
  • other components of the public offering process
