Job Summary
Senior AI Scientist within Santander’s DAISci, leading the local implementation of the Knowledge Base with a focus on knowledge representation, graph systems, and semantic indexing. Design, develop, and maintain local instances of the Knowledge Base, ensuring connected structured and unstructured data for AI agents; shape graph schemas, entity resolution, and metadata structures; collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable local solutions aligned with global platforms while navigating local regulatory and linguistic constraints. Requires 5–10 years in AI/data science, strong Python and graph-tech skills, and a proven ability to translate architectural guidance into practical local systems in a hybrid, multi-country environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in AI, data science, or machine learning systems in production environments
- Strong expertise in knowledge representation, graph modeling, semantic data structures, or information retrieval systems
- Practical background in machine learning and modern AI architectures
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with data processing and graph technologies
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deploy AI-enabled systems
- Comfort operating as a strong individual contributor within a distributed, multi-country AI organization
- Experience translating architectural guidance into local solutions aligned with global platforms
- Experience translating global standards into reliable local intelligent systems
